Journey from KY to CA

                                              We left Campbellsville KY on Dec. 22th

                                                The weather was 40's and no snow!!!!

                                         Then we stopped in Amarillo TX to visit family!

              As you can see we had a few cheers with great homemade mexican food!!
                     This is my cousin Lela who is my dad's niece and Joe her husband.

This is the rest of my cousins that I met for the first time!!! WOW and this was just one household!!!! My dad who just passed away was there in spirit enjoying every minute and maybe even sharing a beer or two!!


              

              Then we left Christmas Eve and I had this bright idea to head south from there
                                                  so we wouldn't hit snow!!!!!
    

                   WRONG just south from there towards Lubbock TX we hit this!!!!
                                                  SNOW but it was pretty!!
   I continue to send Dan up the mountain and down 6900 ft down the mountain to NM. On the way down we never spoke a WORD!!!


                 We arrived in Big River CA on Dec.26th and this is way we come here!

                               We're settled in now for a couple of months! Life is good!!!

Amazon Experience

We worked at Amazon from Oct.16th-Dec.20th in Campbellsville KY. It was fast work starting at 4 ten hour days and ended at 6 ten hour days!!! We were busy packing YOUR Christmas presents!!! Let's just say it was an experience but part of our journey. The best part was meeting new campers from different parts of United States. Everyone has a story!

                                                        As you see I even met an elf!!

    We had a nice  going away Christmas dinner at the local diner with a few new friends.
Hope to stay touch and continue sharing our stories while we continue with our journey!

Fall in KY

We went to a fall festival with great Bluegrass Music and great apple cobbler!!!

The Mandolin player is just 14 yrs old! He showed Dan a few licks and made his day!

Quilt Block Design on Rural Barns in Taylor County KY

Dan and I went for a drive around the county to find these barns. Not only were the designs neat but the old barns are awesome.Taylor County is home to a dozen barn quilts-wooden painting of quilt patterns adorning the sides of area barns. My quilting buddies will know how exciting this is!

We went to a fall festival and I just had to take a picture of these ugly and weird pumpkins!! They grow them different here in KY!

Campbellsville KY

Here we are at our new employer "Amazon" in Campbellsville KY. We just started our 10 hour days! Our bodies are counting the days that we leave for CA!! This isn't for sissies!!!

New Chapter in our Journey

Okay this is the beginning of a new blog with the help of my daughter in law Kristin! Thank you!
 We will be hitting the road in Oct. to Campellsville KY to work for Amazon.com. We call it GAS money!!
 This is a plan that Dan and I have worked for and now its here! We will be living our dream! We'll be gone for a few years but our family and friends will be riding along in our hearts.  Our friends call us " Professional Campers"!
