ALASKA PIPELINE

Trans-Alaska Pipeline carries crude oil from Prudhoe Bay on the Arctic Ocean to Valdez, 800 miles of pipeline with the diameter of 48 inches.The pipeline was built between 1974-1977 with the completion date on June 20th 1977. As of 2010, the pipeline has shipped almost 16 billion barrels of oil.
