ACADIA NATIONAL PARK

ACADIA MAINE-ATLANTIC OCEAN

Established February 26, 1919
47,748 Acres
It is located in Mount Desert Island once a continental mainland, a mountainous granite ridge on the edge of the ocean. Acadia one of the smaller nations parks, is one of the posted visit-by almost 2.5 million people a year.

                                    First stop: Visitor's Center
I have a Passport Book that I get a stamp plus cancelation stamp at every National Park we go to. I've been told its called a "Nerd Book"!!

Our  next stop: a little hiking along the coastline

This is the pathway we encounter on our hikes! Okay...we're not like real hikers. Our friends Craig & Jenny are real hikers.... they climb mountains, valleys, & miles!!! We...need it pretty flat, wide, & short!!!

                                    Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse
                                    19TH CENTURY LIGHTHOUSE

Dan climbed down to the lower rocks to take pictures for an older couple but forgot to take our camera!

Then we realized we can walk there!!

Sand Beach
We left our boot prints in the sand
Summer water temperatures are between 50F-55F!!

Loved to hear the waves crash into the rocks

This is the story to picture below

                                                               On top of Cadillac MT

Look what we find in the middle of the park??? If you had pocket change to use one, who knows what the number is???

The second day was overcast & how different you see the sea. It haves its own beauty & sounds

                                         Sea gulls are hugh here!

Yes...we did this trip on our trike!!

                                                       Enjoy!!
