ROAD TRIP TO HOMER AK

One place everyone who has been in Alaska told us we must  go to Homer. The drive alone Cook Inlet was AWESOME!!! Our first stopped was Anchor Point "America's Most Westerly Highway Point". We drove down this road and ended at the boat launch.
What a surprise to see how they take out & put in the boats because of the tides. Take a look!


Tractor goes out and then the fishing boat trailers up. When the tide is down the shore becomes heavy mud. Many people have drown because they get stuck and the tide comes up and can't escape.

And we came upon this hill overseeing Homer Spit...

The city's picturesque boardwalk dates back to the 1930's, lots of shops & restaurants
